 PAC University 42nd Graduation: 'Building Resilience for the Future'



Baccalaureate Service

On Wednesday 12th July 2023, PAC University held the 2023 Baccalaureate Commissioning Service for the graduates at the CITAM Church Roysambu Campus.

The service was to dedicate the graduates to God as they venture into the marketplace. The Service began with the PAC faculty team venturing into the church with Mr. Isaac Oyuga being the  Master of Ceremony. 


In attendance were the VC Prof. Margaret Muthwi and the VC Designate Prof. Dionysius Kiambi who gave out their remarks. The Speaker for the day was Rev Dr. Jacob Kimathi who encouraged graduates to take service to God as a full-time job. He also echoed that we should strive to be pioneers like the great Missioner David Living Stone who strived to spread the gospel. The theme for this year's graduation was "Building Resilience for the Future".

The Registrar of Finance CPA Nicholas Chepkoiyo prayed for the graduates as they ventured into another step of their future. The Chaplain  Dr. Thuo Mburu also led the congregation in partaking of the Holy Communion.


The graduates gave their testimonials about their journey in PAC University. Tom Mogusu - Diploma, Communications, Raphael Mzungu BA, ComDev, Peter Mwale Wafula BCOM, Annah Njoki Mukora BA, Counselling Psychology and Clara Wangui Magairo Diploma, TCL represented the graduates by giving their speeches on their experience in PAC university.



 It all ended with the graduates being benedicted by Dr. Micah Muenga.  Afterward, the graduates proceeded to their rehearsals.

 

Dinner







On Wednesday Evening 12th July 2023, the graduating class of 2023 attended the Dinner party at Safari Park Hotel which was hosted by Mr.Anthony Taiti. The occasion was graced by The Chancellor of PAC University, Bishop Calisto Odede, VC, Prof. Margaret, and the VC Designate Prof. Dionysius Kiambi.




 The Chief Guest for the night was Rev. Dr. Mwayawho began by presenting a song to everyone.



 Our very own Josh also kept the Dinner lively by playing some acoustic music. The Dinner ended with Dr. Vera Makena finalizing with prayers.

 

Graduation

PAC University held its 42nd Graduation Ceremony on 14 July 2023 at the CITAM Dome tent. The ceremony began with the Administration Police Band leading everyone to the church with Mr and Ms PAC setting the pace for the faculty team and the graduates. 




 . The school Choir also represented the school well by leading the people into worship.





PAC proudly released 533 graduates to the marketplace ready to bring transformative change within the society. PAC marks its history by having the highest number of PhD students that have ever graduated from PAC. Dr. Julius Kipngetich EBS, CBS, graced the event as the Chief Guest as Dr Josh Amwago, the Dean of Students emceed the occasion. 



Hon. Augustine Kamande, MP for Roysambu Constituency as well as Hon. Kawira Mwangaza, Governor of Meru County were also present to congratulate the graduads.







 The theme for this year was Building Resilience for the Future.

PAC UNIVERSITY WELCOMES THE NEW DVC- ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

  The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Muthwii, introduced the new DVC- Academic Affairs, Prof. Stephen Muoki on 3 rd October, 2023 during the Chapel Service. The duties of the DVC-Academic Affairs will now be handled by Prof. Stephen Muoki since the outgoing DVC- Academic Affairs, Prof. Dionisiyous Kiambi is in transition to become the next Vice Chancellor after Prof. Margaret Muthwii.   Prof. Muoki is a distinguished academic leader with a PhD in Religious Studies. He has extensive experience in teaching as he has taught in Pwani University for 13 years as well as other institutions such African Nazarene. Prof. Muoki is a PAC University Alumnus, having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Theology in the year 2000.

THE AFRICA SOCIETY OF EVANGELICAL THEOLOGY HOLDS THEIR 14 ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND AGM AT PAC UNIVERSITY.

  The 14th annual conference and AGM of the Africa Society of Evangelical Theology was held at Pac University in the Conference Hall 1 on 8th to 9th March 2024.  The conference's main topic was The Mission of God and God's Church: The Missiology in African Christianity. PAC University, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Mwaki, formally launched and spoke about the state of the church now and its goals for the future. Dr. Mary Kihuha presided over the gathering and invited our very own student Jashon and Obed to lead the assembly in worship and afterwards Dr. Mwangi then offered a prayer.       Dr. Gift Mtukwa, President of Asset, started out by discussing the situation of theology and the churches on our continent.
