THE AFRICA SOCIETY OF EVANGELICAL THEOLOGY HOLDS THEIR 14 ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND AGM AT PAC UNIVERSITY.
The 14th annual conference and AGM of the Africa Society of Evangelical Theology was held at Pac University in the Conference Hall 1 on 8th to 9th March 2024.
The conference's main topic was The Mission of God and God's Church: The Missiology in African Christianity. PAC University, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Mwaki, formally launched and spoke about the state of the church now and its goals for the future. Dr. Mary Kihuha presided over the gathering and invited our very own student Jashon and Obed to lead the assembly in worship and afterwards Dr. Mwangi then offered a prayer.
Dr. Gift Mtukwa, President of Asset, started out by discussing the situation of theology and the churches on our continent. Dr. Harvey Kwiyani, a Malawian theologian who is currently employed by the Church Mission Society in Oxford, England, was the ASET's guest speaker.
His theme was "Light into the World, Out of the Darkness." He declared that God's light continues to shine throughout the globe despite the fact that we live on a dark continent. He reviewed the church's brief history and the evolution of the African Church to the point where it is today.
